Overview

Grant Thornton’s Digital Audit Team delivers award‑winning digital products, services and skills to enable the auditors of the future to set the industry benchmark for professional services firms. The Digital Audit Solutions Architect will design, develop and implement Digital Audit solutions, creating architecture, solution designs and ensuring successful delivery of projects. The role works closely with the Development Team, Product Owners and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement architectural strategies, governance, plans and procedures to ensure high‑quality software delivery.Design and manage all solution architecture activities, including functional, non‑functional and integration aspects.
  • Provide guidance and support to developers, working within the development team.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams and Product Owners to coordinate delivery of solutions.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation related to architectural activities.
  • Align architectural activities with other lifecycle activities such as requirements analysis, design and implementation.
  • Participate in daily progress meetings, presenting architectural improvements and developments.
  • Manage tools development and configuration management activities.

Qualifications

  • Experienced architect ready to move from individual contributor to supporting or leading architectural teams.
  • Knowledge of low‑code platforms (e.g. PowerApps, Appian) and Python programming.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design techniques and best practices.
  • Experience in solution planning, analysis, design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
