Job Description
The Grant Thornton Digital Audit Team provides best‑in‑class digital products, services and skills to enable the auditors of the future to set the industry benchmark for professional services firms, leveraging digital, data and technology opportunities to be the number one practice for audit quality, client service and operational excellence.
The Digital Audit Solutions Architect will design, develop and implement Digital Audit solutions within the organisation. This role involves defining architecture, creating solution designs, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The Solutions Architect will work closely with the Development Team, Product Owners and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
Open to all UK locations; flexible working and part‑time are considered.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement architectural strategies, governance, plans and procedures to ensure high‑quality software delivery.
- Design and manage all solution architecture activities, including functional, non‑functional and integration aspects.
- Work with a team of developers, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with Development Teams and Product Owners to coordinate the delivery of solutions.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation related to architectural activities.
- Ensure alignment of architectural activities with other lifecycle activities such as requirements analysis, design and implementation.
- Participate in daily progress meetings, presenting architectural improvements and developments.
- Manage tools development and configuration management activities.
Qualifications
- Experience as an architect, ready to move from individual contributor to team support or already leading architectural teams throughout the development or product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of low‑code platforms (e.g. PowerApps, Appian) and Python programming.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
- Strong understanding of architectural design techniques and best practices.
- Experience in solution planning, analysis, design and implementation.
- Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
We’re Looking For
Joining us as a Digital Audit Solutions Architect, you will be an experienced architect who is ready to transition from an individual contributor to an architecture lead, or who already has experience leading architectural teams to ensure quality across the development or product lifecycle. We value your growth and will help you develop along the way.
Beyond the Job
Life is more than work. That is why we offer flexible working options for all roles and strive to keep your work and life in balance.
You will have the impact to go beyond your day job, from secondments to fundraising for local charities or investing in entrepreneurs in the developing world. It is that drive to do the right thing that runs through our every move, grounded in our firm’s values – purposefully driven, actively curious and candid but kind.
We are looking for people who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas and go beyond expectations. People who want to proudly do what’s right for the firm, our clients, our people and themselves. It’s how it should be.
Open to All UK Locations
We encourage a diverse and inclusive workforce and we are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination on any protected characteristic.
