PEC delivers personalised communications and experiences across all channels, using data, analytics, and technology to differentiate branded experiences and support paper-free sustainability.This role is for a **Solution Architect** within PEC. You’ll lead technical approaches, translate business needs into solutions, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to build and improve software. This includes data-centric architecture principles like data Lakehouse, streaming architectures, data governance, Open Table Formats and AI-driven platforms.* Proficient in data engineering, data and analytics with a strong track record of successful projects and in-depth knowledge of industry guidelines.* Design and implement effective data solutions and models to meet business requirements and realise the Data Strategy.* Expertise in cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and designing for cost efficiency* Experience in developing data product strategies, with a strong inclination towards a product-led approach in data solution architecture* Experience with hybrid cloud and multi cloud implementations* Experience with large scale data warehouse migrations to the cloud* Strong experience of solution design, security & resilience patterns Strong experience of solution design, security & resilience patterns* Strong knowledge of microservices, containerisation, cloud native and event-driven design concepts* Strong understanding of API standards, security and gateway patterns* Strong understanding of data technologies – SQL/NoSQL, Big Data* Experience in Data Modelling, along with good understanding of various modelling methodologies such as 3NF, Dimensional, and Data Vault, Data Warehousing/Analytic end-to-end architecture* Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure) with expertise in at least one preferably GCP* Comfortable writing code in either Python/Java / Scala/Pyspark/ Terraform* Ability to lead technical teams and facilitating discussions regarding technical / architectural trade-offs, standard processes and risk mitigation.**And any experience of these would be really useful**:* Experience in regulated domains preferably Banking & Finance industry* Experience working with customer decisioning and recommendation engines* Experience working with marketing and digital campaign data* Exposure to open-source technologies and frameworks* Experience in agile / iterative design working practices* Excellent communication and collaboration skills* Come from an engineering background.**About working for us**Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns.
