Responsibilities

  • Build strong client relationships based on trust and reputation.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build business cases for execution, working closely with senior stakeholders.
  • Drive further revenue growth through account development, managing opportunities in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM).
  • Fully understand and manage the contract with the client, ensuring all operational and contractual requirements are met.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and cash collection, including contract indexation where applicable.
  • Manage the account P&L with focus on margin and revenue recognition against budget.
  • Maintain and present Account Plans, providing regular updates to leadership. Improve and maintain customer satisfaction (CSAT) across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to present and maintain client-facing product strategy roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has a detailed understanding of the UK rail or wider mobility transport sector, including experience working with operators, infrastructure providers, and transport authorities.
  • The Account Manager will represent all services provided into the accounts, managing both operational and financial performance, while proactively developing relationships across client stakeholders.
  • We are seeking a self-starter with: Experience in the sales process: lead generation, relationship building, and deal closure.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of transport industry services and products, with ability to articulate their business value.
  • Passion for transport, with substantial knowledge of rail and mobility market trends.
  • Ability to work within a matrixed team environment across product, service, and business unit leaders.
  • Strong financial, sales, and bid management skills.
  • Experience building a healthy sales pipeline and successfully converting opportunities.
