SGX – Senior Account Manager – European Division
Position Summary
SGX, a joint venture of SGS & Co and SGK, delivers end‑to‑end packaging solutions across Europe. The Senior Account Manager leads the strategic relationship with the Global Artwork Team, driving commercial success, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary commercial and operational contact for the division.
- Serve as the liaison between the Global Artwork Team, supply chain planning, and marketing stakeholders to ensure projects meet agreed service levels.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the account, including new projects and services.
- Prepare, present, and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and quality review meetings with client stakeholders.
- Host workshops at the annual Artwork Summit focused on continuous improvement and evolving ways of working.
- Lead day‑to‑day operations for the division across all European markets, tracking On‑Time Delivery performance and presenting quarterly KPI reports.
- Govern the client’s Design‑to‑Print (D2P) strategy, onboarding and training new client stakeholders on correct processes and tools.
- Manage client forecasting and resource planning with studios to ensure the right capacity is in place; partner with the client to improve forecast accuracy.
- Oversee the division’s commercial revenue budget and monitor performance against targets.
- Provide line management for onsite team members within the division, ensuring performance, development, and engagement is actively supported.
- Lead short‑term integration projects following the merger of two production processes and participate in the development of artwork automation initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Significant experience in brand packaging development, managing end‑to‑end projects within FMCG, retail, print, or packaging sectors.
- Strong organisational skills, managing multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional client‑facing skills – professional, approachable, diplomatic, and trusted relationships at all levels.
- High resilience, adaptability, and problem‑solving ability in fast‑paced environments.
- Attention to detail combined with a big‑picture perspective.
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented team player demonstrating initiative and ownership of outcomes.
- Flexible, hardworking, maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
- Sound commercial awareness and understanding of client needs within a global framework.
- PC literate with strong Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and web‑based briefing systems skills.
- Knowledge of print and repro processes, brand, retail, and packaging design.
- Awareness of digital marketing and its integration with brand and packaging strategy.
- Role can be based in the UK, Amsterdam, or Paris; occasional travel required.
