creative agency?We are looking for a Strategy Director to oversee the development and execution of social media brand strategies for some of our most creative and strategically important clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results-driven strategic solutions, ensuring the agency remains at the vanguard of cultural trends and social platform innovations. This role requires a strategic ability that brings fresh, innovative ideas across social media to inspire creative solutions to our clients' business problems.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of innovative social strategies for key clients to unlock their creative potential across different social platforms that deliver against client objectives. Influence the agency's approach to strategic thinking across social platforms, providing leadership and mentorship to the strategy team.
- Client Growth and Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted point of contact for senior clients, building long-term relationships through strategic social insights and results-driven recommendations. Lead senior client presentations, workshops, and strategy sessions to define goals, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Trend Analysis & Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging trends, platforms, tools, and technologies within the social media and digital marketing landscape, integrating cutting-edge strategies into campaign planning and execution. Foster innovation by challenging conventional thinking.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Client Services to support pro-active lead generation and client expansion. Collaborate effectively with Creative, Content, Research, and Cultural Insight teams to unlock ever-evolving creative output and ensure strategy aligns with creative and media execution.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire the broader team of strategists, providing mentorship, career development, and training to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture. Strong strategic social thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies that can be executed creatively and effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; able to articulate complex ideas simply to clients, creative and internal teams alike.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics tools to inform decision-making and optimise campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of social and digital channels and how to build brands on social media that can then stretch more broadly into traditional media.
- Understanding of the principles of effectiveness in social, social KPIs and proxies.
- Creative problem solver with a passion for social media trends and digital innovation.
- Proven track record of helping improve creative output through strong strategic thinking.
- Demonstrable understanding of brand building beyond traditional media.
