I am currently recruiting for a lovely position for someone who has experience as a Supplier Development Manager or Commercial Contracts Manager within a defence environment. The opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen due to the increase in deliveries for a Supply Chain Manager / Supplier Development Manager to join ISP in the Sub-Assemblies team. If successful, you will have the opportunity to bring your experience and knowledge to ensure effective Supplier performance, capability & risk management. The team works across all programmes in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature and new technologies.

What they are looking for from you:

• Ideally a degree-calibre supply chain professional with experience of international working in high technology companies.
• Experience in supply chain management / Supplier Development Manager roles in the Aerospace, Defence, or Manufacturing environments.
• A proven ability to:
• Improve Supplier Performance (Delivery and Quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies.
• Carry out capacity audits to identify bottlenecks, yield, resources, and sub-tier activities to form an industrial view of suppliers.
• Manage a portfolio of suppliers daily, report on performance, and manage supply chain risks to closure.
• Assess supply chain and supplier capability to meet company delivery profiles for current and future states.
• Create and validate process flows and lead time analysis.
• Hold excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans.
• Identify, escalate, and mitigate potential supply chain risks with associated improvement and mitigation plans.
• Conduct analysis and provide/deliver executive summaries.
• You may also be responsible for or assist in department supply chain excellence improvements.
