[About the role]

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and support to enterprise clients. Your responsibilities include addressing security and technical inquiries, analyzing customer problems, and delivering effective solutions. You will collaborate with product engineering and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth. This position is based in the UK and involves hybrid work with the sales team.

[Responsibilities]

  • Efficiently address and resolve technical inquiries from enterprise clients, participate in customer calls, support on-premise server setup, and demonstrate expertise in enterprise network environments and systems.
  • Support sales through product demonstrations, showcase ProtoPie’s technical capabilities, and create designer-friendly guidelines to help clients address technical issues.
  • Investigate customer technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with product engineering to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Develop ProtoPie integration apps (bridge apps) for hardware and software integrations (e.g., Unity/Unreal, IoT home assistant API, Voice API).

[Requirements]

  • 4+ years of professional experience in software-hardware integrated prototyping; familiar with devices such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, embedded devices.
  • Protocols: UART, TCP/UDP, Socket.IO, CAN/LIN; Languages & frameworks: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C++.
  • Basic scripting abilities: Bash, Batch, JS.
  • Strong backend knowledge to work with on-premise servers (attach portfolio: Git repository/GitHub, blog, or other).
  • Linux, Docker, Docker Compose, SQL, Data Migration; Networking.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication; ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Kindness, empathy, and ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Willingness and passion to continuously learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Plus: Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and related ecosystem (e.g., Grafana dashboards); REST API development; familiarity with design tools (Figma, Unity) or other UI/UX tools; familiarity with embedded devices and CAN/LIN protocols.

[Working Arrangement]

  • 10:00–19:00 GMT (or CET) recommended.
  • Full-time position; probation is 3 months with salary at 100%.
