ProtoPie is the easiest interactive prototyping tool for all digital products. Designers can turn their UI/UX design ideas into highly interactive prototypes for mobile, desktop, web, and IoT. ProtoPie enables exploring, validating, and testing design solutions and ideas by creating realistic, production-like prototypes without code or depending on engineers. ProtoPie is used by companies worldwide across various industries. This role is presented by StudioXID.
Role: Technical Support Engineer – you will provide technical expertise and support to enterprise clients, address security and technical inquiries, analyze customer problems, and deliver effective solutions. You will collaborate with product engineering and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth. This position is based in the UK and involves a hybrid work environment with close collaboration with the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently address and resolve technical inquiries from enterprise clients, participate in customer calls, assist with on-premise server setup, and demonstrate expertise in enterprise network environments and systems.
- Support sales through product demonstrations, showcasing ProtoPie technical capabilities, and create designer-friendly guidelines to help clients address technical issues.
- Conduct thorough investigations into customer technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution to customer satisfaction.
- Develop ProtoPie integration apps (bridge apps) for hardware (different modes of wheel, LED, knob, etc.) and software (Unity/Unreal, IoT home assistant API, Voice API, etc.) for solution integrations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in software-hardware integrated prototyping; familiarity with devices such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and embedded devices.
- Protocols: UART, TCP/UDP, Socket.IO, CAN/LIN (plus).
- Languages & frameworks: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C++.
- Basic scripting abilities: Bash, Batch, JavaScript.
- Strong back-end knowledge to set up and debug issues related to on-premise servers; please attach your portfolio link (GitHub, blog, etc.).
- Linux, Docker, Docker Compose, SQL, Data Migration; Networking.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication; ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated kindness, empathy, and ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Willingness and passion to continuously learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Plus: Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and related ecosystem (e.g., Grafana dashboard). Understanding of REST API development. Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Unity, or other UI/UX tools. Experience with software-hardware integrated prototyping and related devices/protocols (CAN/LIN).

Working Arrangement
10 AM to 7 PM GMT (or CET) recommended. Full-time position with 3-month probation (salary at 100%). Office: TBD; remote working until UK office is established.
Hiring Process
- Application & 1st Interview: CV/portfolio screening and a technical round via video.
- 2nd Interview: Internal stakeholders via video call.
- 3rd Interview: Final interview with CEO/management via video call.
