Join to apply for the Technical Advisor role at Frontier Agriculture. We are looking for a Technical Advisor to join the Frontier team, based at Diss on a permanent basis, with a blend of time spent across regional sites, on farm, and working from home as the workload requires.

You will work closely with the farm trading and agronomy teams alongside our Precision Services and Sustainable Crop Production peers to provide innovative advice to colleagues, growers, and supply chain partners. You will also develop advisory and product sales revenue, build relationships with Government bodies, private sector organisations, and landscape-scale stakeholders, and collaborate with internal teams to support the commercial development of supply chain partnership opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across Frontier business sectors to deliver effective outcomes for growers and revenue opportunities, with a focus on Environmental Crops.
  • Work with sustainability colleagues to develop commercial outcomes from private sector funding and landscape-scale activities.
  • Represent Frontier to key stakeholders to create new business opportunities.
  • Deliver revenue-generating advice and product sales, supporting commercial and technical teams.
  • Ensure advisory outcomes are aligned with Frontier products and services.
  • Support digital and Precision initiatives, including Natural Capital and Biodiversity Net Gain opportunities.
  • Train and support colleagues on Environmental Crops products and services.
  • Liaise with trials and crop production teams to maximise innovation and commercial delivery.
  • Promote knowledge exchange across colleagues, partners, growers, and the supply chain.
  • Advocate Frontier’s Responsible Choice pillars and maintain awareness of policy and market developments.
  • Monitor competitor activity and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple channels and support promotional activities at events.
  • Attend internal, external, and customer meetings, providing technical and sales support.
  • Ensure Frontier is represented at a regional level with relevant agencies and NGOs.

About You

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills tailored to varied stakeholder needs.
  • Highly proactive, with strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while managing time and adapting to changing priorities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail; able to work with data to ensure precision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience of working with farm traders, agronomists, and growers.
  • Experience working within the agricultural, conservation, or sustainable crop production sectors.
  • Experience working with Government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organisations.
