As a Technical Application Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of card issuing and processing platforms, bringing deep domain expertise and technical leadership to a high-performing team.You’ll work across BAU operations, service management frameworks and be expected to lead our 3rd party integrations helping us modernise and optimise our card technology stack. This is a hands-on role with strategic impact - ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and wants to make a lasting difference.**DAY TO DAY, YOU WILL:*** **Platform & Service Management** - Lead the delivery of outcomes across card platforms, card issuing and processing systems. Manage BAU operations, ensure service continuity through ITIL-aligned practices, and support DR testing and IAM controls.* **Operational Delivery & Strategic Planning** - Own budget delivery and conduct complex analysis across your area. Contribute to strategic planning and deliver outcomes through established data and knowledge management systems.* **Process Improvement & Change Delivery** - Identify and address system and process gaps, delivering elements of change programmes. Develop product specifications and testing standards to support platform evolution.* **Security & Governance** - Provide input into IT Security policy development, implement supporting procedures, and monitor compliance across your domain.* **Leadership & Capability Development** - Manage and develop direct reports, set short-term objectives, and support performance management. Provide coaching and specialised training across the organisation, while investing in your own growth.**WHAT YOU’LL NEED:*** **Deep Cards Domain Expertise** – Proven experience in card issuing, card processing (TSYS, Fiserv, Global Processing Services (GPS) etc.)* **Technical & Operational Excellence** – Strong understanding of ITIL, service management, IAM, and disaster recovery testing.* **Leadership & Collaboration** – Ability to manage teams, mentor others, and work cross-functionally to deliver strategic outcomes.* **Problem Solving & Delivery Focus** – Skilled in analysing complex issues and delivering solutions within established systems and frameworks.**WHY LLOYDS BANKING GROUP**We’re transforming the way we serve our customers and communities, investing in technology, people, and innovation.
