The Team Leader is responsible for managing day-to-day activity, ensuring claims are handled accurately and in line with internal standards and regulatory requirements.A key part of the role is supporting the development and performance of the team through structured coaching and feedback, while maintaining a positive and engaged working environment. The Team Leader also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies.Working closely with other departments and stakeholders, the role requires a collaborative approach to ensure consistency in service delivery and alignment with wider business objectives. **Job details*** Set and manage annual and monthly objectives for team members, ensuring regular performance reviews and one-to-one meetings.* Handle all HR-related matters in line with company policies, including timely completion of annual PDRs.* Provide monthly coaching, development plans, and lead effective team meetings to drive performance, engagement, and support colleague growth.* Ensure accurate reserving and payment authorisations in line with departmental guidelines and service level agreements.* Monitor team compliance through regular audits and adherence to work condition reports and SLAs.* Oversee technical referrals, complaint handling, and coordinate with training teams to ensure appropriate support and development for all colleagues.**Transferrable skills/experience we would like you to have:*** Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams to deliver results.* Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management abilities.* Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding performance targets within a customer-focused environment.* Commercially aware with sound decision-making and analytical capabilities.* Committed to personal development and the growth of team members through coaching and support.* Ability to collaborate effectively across the Technical Claims Department; previous insurance experience is desirable.**The interview process:**Our interview process involves the below: * Recruiter screening call* 1st stage interview with hiring leaderAs a Disability Confident employer, we’re committed to ensuring our recruitment processes are fully inclusive – what this means to you is if you’re applying for a job with us, you’ll have fair access to support and adjustments throughout your recruitment journey.
