Role Summary
The Technology Delivery Manager will be responsible for management and reporting of programs under Finance domain. The role requires resolving delivering challenges, drive stakeholders’ alignment in terms of prioritization and successful implementation of technology solutions that optimize financial operations and reporting. This is a high visible role requiring cross functional coordination, collaboration and influencing for decision making
We’re looking for a Technology Delivery Manager & Solution Architect for our Finance IT department to join our team.
Key responsibilities
- This role is key to the delivery of strategic IT solutions to Finance functions across all SMBC EMEA entities
- This role will implement solutions across the EMEA region, including the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland, and Dubai
- The main focus will be in Finance Data & Processing Architecture including the roll out of Azure Databricks Lake House and Oracle Cloud platforms supplemented with process orchestration, workflow and microservices
Essentials / Qualifications
- This is a techno business role. The candidate should have worked as a technologist, business analyst, accounting or finance architect in earlier part of finance IT career before becoming delivery leader
- Strong understanding of finance processes and associated data sets / taxonomies. Understanding of accounting is desirable. Investment and Corporate Banking products and process knowledge
- Detailed understanding of Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud. Data lakes. Data sourcing, accounting rules engines, reference data.
Business Area
This new role forms a key part of the EMEA Cross-Product Finance IT Platforms team, driving delivery and enablement of IT solutions for EMEA Finance covering legal entities, third country branches for SMBC EMEA.
Position Description
- Managing multiple competing demands from different stakeholders, projects and BAU activities
- Defining and driving the quality of IT solutions based on multiple and sometimes conflicting requirements, across both a legacy and strategic technology landscape.
- Direct and indirect management of resources aligning approaches with colleagues in other regions and other teams.
- Ensuring solutions delivered are operationally effective and proportionate to meet business requirements and mitigate risks for the business to achieve regulatory compliance.
