What You’ll Do

  • Service Desk Support: Independently manage and resolve Level 1–3 support tickets.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues across systems and applications.
  • Enterprise OS Support: Demonstrate proficiency in at least one enterprise OS (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  • Endpoint & Network Security: Use PointWire’s preferred tools to ensure secure, compliant environments.
  • Internal Projects: Contribute to process improvements and technical initiatives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, and partners.

Technical Expertise

Certifications & Tools

  • Desirable: A+, Network+, Security+
  • Advantageous: Tanium, Corelight, Titania (Nipper), CrowdStrike (Falcon, Next‑Gen SIEM)
  • Beneficial: Mimecast, Zscaler, Tenable, Sophos, Rapid7

Systems & Endpoint Management

  • Experience with Windows Workstations & Server Environments
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Hands‑on with MECM/SCCM, Intune, Tanium

Network & Security

  • Understanding of network protocols and firewall management
  • Experience with monitoring tools (PRTG, Nagios) and backup solutions (Veeam)
  • Exposure to SIEM & SOAR technologies (Elastic, Splunk, Phantom)

Virtualisation & Automation

  • Knowledge of VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox
  • Scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python, Ansible

Frameworks & Best Practices

  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and business operations

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary: £35,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
