Job Description

As a Territory Sales Manager at McClures, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your assigned territory. You will develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets, build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities. This role requires an initiative-taking and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, head office leads and personal lead generation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Preserve and protect business interest against opportunistic competitor activity.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance and give feedback on competitor activities to head office as needed.
  • Liaise with internal departments to aid the smooth running of the business.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and expand its professional network.

Qualities

  • Proven experience as a Territory Sales Manager or comparable sales role would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles practices, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software would be an advantage.
  • Must hold a valid driving license and be willing to travel within the assigned territory.

Experience

  • One year minimum sales experience required.
  • One year food industry experience preferred.

Schedule

  • Core hours 8.00am until 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
  • In certain exceptions, occasional Saturday cover may be required (with a day off in lieu).
