Test Architect - AWS Environment & Data Strategy - Outside IR35 Contract

Our sister company Stellarmann is seeking a contract Test Architect to lead the design of a strategic, enterprise-wide non-production environment and data strategy for a leading London-based insurer. This is a high-impact role central to the company's 2026 transformation roadmap, with strong cross-functional visibility and long-term potential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of an enterprise-wide non-production environment and data strategy, with a focus on AWS.
  • Apply expertise in Test Data Management (TDM), CI/CD, and Environments as Code to shaping the strategy and implementation.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across Architecture, IT, Change, Analytics, and Finance to align on scope, priorities and benefits.
  • Develop and present costed implementation plans aligned with the transformation roadmap.
  • Communicate effectively across teams, acting as a concise, direct, and influential advocate for quality and delivery.
  • Availability: immediately or within 1-2 weeks; 3 days per week onsite in London in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a Test Architect designing enterprise-scale environment and data strategies, particularly in AWS.
  • Deep expertise in Test Data Management (TDM), CI/CD, and Environments as Code.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders across Architecture, IT, Change, Analytics, and Finance.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and experience building costed implementation plans.
  • High-energy communicator who is concise, direct, and influential.
