Location: Manchester - 1 day per week initially then 1/2 days per month

Clearance: BPSS - eligible for SC

Contract Type: 12 month FTC

Overview

We’re looking for experienced Testers with hands‑on experience across Microsoft Azure and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). You’ll play a key role in ensuring high‑quality delivery of cloud‑based applications and data‑driven solutions, working closely with developers, architects, and business analysts in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Azure and Power Platform solutions
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing across Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and data integrations
  • Work closely with developers and business teams to identify, log, and track defects through to resolution
  • Support automation testing efforts using Azure DevOps and relevant test frameworks
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices within Agile delivery teams
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to align testing activities with delivery goals

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience testing solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps
  • Experience writing test scripts and managing test execution and reporting
  • Knowledge of API testing and data validation (using tools like Postman or similar)
  • Experience with Agile delivery methods (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Test automation experience with Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 integration testing
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
  • Previous experience in public sector or highly regulated environments
  • Knowledge of Azure infrastructure, security, and data services
