This role focuses on leading design and delivery of traffic signal projects within our Aviation, Rail and Technology group, ensuring technical excellence and safety in design. You will mentor and support the development of our wider team while leading projects from concept through delivery.ResponsibilitiesLead and undertake traffic signal design projects from concept to deliveryCollaborate with clients and internal teams to drive growth and innovationChampion technical quality and safety throughout project lifecyclesManage resources, forecast inputs, and ensure delivery to programme and budgetUphold compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, aligning with Jacobs’ safety-first cultureQualificationsDegree in Civil, Electrical, or Transport Engineering (or related field)Experience in designing and reviewing traffic signal schemes from feasibility to implementationProficiency in AutoCAD, LinSig, MOVA, and other traffic modelling toolsAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineersSkilled in budgeting, resource planning, and programme managementFamiliarity with health and safety legislation and CDM regulationsIn-depth knowledge of relevant design standardsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbout Jacobs and our valuesJoining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally.
