Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver traffic signal schemes from feasibility through to implementation, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that improve road safety, support active travel, and reduce congestion.
  • Lead project delivery at senior level, mentor junior engineers, and liaise with clients to ensure technical excellence and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of junction designs, ITS implementations, and other traffic-related infrastructure within the transportation sector.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HND/C in Civil, Electrical, or Transport Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience using AutoCAD, LinSig, MOVA, and other traffic modelling tools.
  • Experience designing and reviewing traffic signal schemes from feasibility to implementation for a Senior position.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers for a Senior position.
  • Familiarity with health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
  • Knowledge of relevant design standards and strong written and verbal communication skills.
