Join our Board and use your skills to make a real difference in people’s lives.The Treasurer is a key role, responsible for financial oversight and helping us formulate our vision for the future while ensuring we stay viable and well-governed.Role and ResponsibilitiesEnsure the charity is well governed, sustainable, and mission-drivenSupport financial oversight and compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsContribute your expertise to help develop services and partnershipsChampion the values of accessibility, diversity, and well-being in mental health provisionWhat we’re looking forA qualified accountant who can provide input as we roll out our new Xero financial systems. The Treasurer will liaise with the Operational Finance Officer on all aspects of finance and will communicate and establish financial policies with the Director. We have a mix of grant funding and generated income.QualificationsQualified accountant with experience relevant to governance and financial managementAbility to work with the board and staff to manage financial systems and policiesInterest in mental health services and accessible, diverse provisionTime CommitmentTrustees are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings (currently in Cardiff, with hybrid options) and contribute to occasional sub-groups or strategic discussions.
