Compare My Move is a comparison and lead generation service helping UK movers compare and connect with trusted moving industry professionals for over 10 years.

We offer a variety of services for users to compare with many more on the way and our mission is to become the home of moving home. Were building the best network of verified partners from trusted professionals all over the UK, whilst saving home movers time and money on moving services and becoming a recognisable brand within our industry and beyond.

The Role

Compare My Move, is revolutionising the home-moving experience. From removals and surveys to mortgages and probate, weve connected over 1.5 million movers in the UK with trusted professionals during lifes most stressful moments. Our mission? To make moving simple, smooth, and stress-free. Were doing it all from our light and spacious HQ in Cardiff, where, as a UX Designer, youll help us create the next wave of user interfaces, for our customers and partners interact with the company.

Responsibilities

  • Help create seamless, accessible experiences across our platforms.
  • Support user research activities like interviews, surveys and usability testing.
  • Turn insight into action with wireframes, journey maps and interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, project managers and designers to bring ideas to life.
  • Apply inclusive design principles to improve usability for all users.
  • Use feedback and data to continuously refine and improve designs.

This is a hands-on role where youll contribute across the entire UX process, working on products that really matter to real people.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience in a UX or UX/UI design role. Aspiring to won't count.
  • A portfolio showcasing your work, demonstrating your thought process and methodology.
  • Confidence using Figma to prototype and design.
  • Knowledge of user-centred design and accessibility principles.
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Someone whos curious, positive and always up for a design challenge.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with user research and testing.
  • Awareness of HTML/CSS and front-end collaboration.
  • Understanding of design systems.
  • Familiarity with responsive/mobile-first design.
  • Knowledge of the property or home-moving sector.

Who you'll work with: Rozian Azaden (Head of Design), Dan Wilson (Digital Designer), Nadeea Miah (Digital Designer), and you (UX Designer).
