We're offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at PetMedics in an Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) role. This position involves working one week of twilight shifts (6pm – 4am, 9.5 hours plus a 30-minute break) every 8 weeks.What Are We Looking ForA Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2 years of experience; ECC experience is a bonus but not essential, as mentorship is availableStrong communication and time management skills in emergenciesOption for consult-only shifts, with surgical cases handled by colleagues on dutyA 1 in 8 week rota that can complement another role elsewhereNo sole charge, always 2 to 4 vets on shift, depending on the timeAbout PetMedicsPetMedics is a large, 24-hour veterinary hospital supported by an outstanding clinical team of 33 vets, 40 nurses, and PCAs, all dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.Our Hospital Is Equipped With4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, a dedicated ICUOn-site CT scanner, digital x-ray, 3 ultrasound machinesEndoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilationIn-house laboratoryYou'll be working alongside a highly experienced team, including Certificate holders in ECC, surgery, medicine, imaging, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, cardiology, and clinical pathology.We're proud to hold GOLD Cat Friendly Clinic status, along with Silver rabbit-friendly and dog-friendly awards.Salary, shifts & benefitsWe offer a competitive salary based on experience.Shift pattern: 1 week of twilight shifts (6pm – 4am) every 8 weeks.
