Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Cromwell Veterinary Group, Cambridgeshire
Job Type: 12month Fixed Term Contract.
Salary: Up to £65k FTE (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Full time equivalent of 40 hours per week consisting of 4 X 9 hour days per week plus 1 in 4 weekends. Part-time hours also considered.
Great Opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to fantastic group in Cambridgeshire on a 12month FTC!
This is a great opportunity to cover a 12 month period at Cromwell Vets; your role here will be a varied one, with a high quality caseload and a mixture of consultations and surgeries. We have a fantastic 24hr hospital site in Huntingdon, with its own dedicated night team, and 5 smaller clinics in the local area, St Neots, Sawtry, Cambourne, Ramsey and St Ive's. The role can be split between some or all sites, offering great variety; each site is equipped for routine surgery and consults.

- We have a team of 23 vets including certificate holders in medicine, cardiology, emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging. We are always keen to support professional development and certificates where possible.
- We provide a 24-hour service at the Huntingdon hospital with our own Twilight and Night team, ensuring excellent continuity of care. The position available is a daytime only role.
- We have all the equipment available to enable full work up of cases in house – digital radiography, ultrasound (including echocardiography), video-endoscopy (gastroscope, bronchoscope and small rigid endoscopes), multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring, tonometry, etc. We are an accredited gold ISFM friendly hospital with a calm and spacious cat ward.
What we are looking for:
- We are looking to expand our team now with a small animal vet who is happy to work both as part of a multi-vet team and sole charge.
- RCVS registration and a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in general practice.
- We are open to discussions about consulting only positions, and various working patterns across the sites.
