The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people affected by war, famine, and poverty. The organization advocates to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

From CNN to The Huffington Post, the world is talking about this movement. The Borgen Project has 20 years of experience in the advocacy space and has supported the passage of numerous bills benefitting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Role: Writer/Journalist Programme – focused on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog.

Responsibilities

• Article writing for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog.
• Researching topics relevant to poverty, policy, and advocacy.
• Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
• Assisting with fundraising by creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: No prior experience is necessary. We welcome applicants who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA or background.

Details

• This is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available.
• Part-time: 12 hours per week for 12 weeks (remote).
• If availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.
• Start: New programmes begin every month; you choose the month to start.
