The organization advocates to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy and has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting people in developing countries over the past 20 years.

From CNN to The Huffington Post, the world is talking about efforts to address global poverty. The Borgen Project aims to downsize global poverty and believes that leaders of the world’s most powerful nations should do more to address it.

Writer/Journalist Programme focuses on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. This is a part‑time, unpaid remote programme.

Details

This is a part‑time 12 hours per week, 12 week, unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks. This is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available.

Responsibilities

  • Article writing.
  • Researching topics.
  • Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
  • Assisting with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.

Qualifications

Experience: No prior experience is necessary; we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA or background.

Start Date

New programmes begin every month; you choose the month you wish to start.
