This is an exciting role within the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure the regime is sustainably resourced, audited, and future-proofed.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvement.
• Implementing recommendations from the review, such as assessing the distribution of funds, evaluating KPIs, and developing new working methods.
• Following up on internal audit recommendations.
• Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation initiatives.
• Enhancing visibility and activity in Area Hazardous Waste management.

The Team

The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing unit within the Regime Regulation division. We lead hazardous waste management efforts, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.
