Overview Of The Role

As a Water Quality Modeller, you will be part of a team of water resources, wastewater networks, river impact assessments and flood risk specialists. You will work with engineers, environmentalists and asset planners to develop catchment models and integrated drainage and river network models, using bespoke and industry standard water quality modelling packages. There are opportunities to get involved in systems modelling, hydrological modelling, hydrodynamic modelling and computational fluid dynamics across teams.

Your input will help project teams address storm overflows, water transfers, catchment contaminant contributions, and future discharge compliance in the context of climate change and population growth. You will contribute to solutions that benefit local communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

  • Supporting the team in delivering complex modelling projects by applying attention to detail and numerical skills
  • Working with a project team to deliver accurate and timely outputs
  • Presenting project outcomes internally and externally

There is an emphasis on river and catchment modelling to assess water quality compliance and mitigation, with work across coastal water quality investigations and nature-based solutions.
