Overview

We are looking for graduates for our Planning and Development (Civils Design) team, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. We want you to enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can apply your skills working for a diverse range of clients and projects.

We are recruiting for Graduates in the following locations:

  • Guildford, Basingstoke, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Leeds

Projects and Responsibilities

  • Work on exciting and innovative projects across defence, energy, residential and logistics & distribution with genuine opportunities for career progression.
  • Master planning, concept and detailed civil engineering designs including: Highway design, Earthworks design, Surface water drainage design and Foul water drainage design.
  • Utility services coordination.
  • Completing design calculations and drawing outputs.
  • Production of engineering reports and specifications.
  • Attend design team meetings.

Graduate Development Programme

Our two-year Graduate Development programme supports personal and professional development through an engaging blended learning experience, including core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, mentoring for professional registration and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status with professional bodies such as ICE, with training agreements to support your development.

What We Will Be Looking For

You’ll have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a relevant subject (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree). You should also:

  • Complete the application form in full and answer all specific questions.
  • Pass an online skill enabler assessment after the initial application.
  • Be able to start in April or September 2026.
  • Have a passion for engineering and consulting.
  • Have a desire for the built environment, infrastructure, places and the economy.
  • Be enthusiastic, creative and driven to solve problems; be prepared to share new ideas.
