We are looking for graduates for our Planning and Development (Civils Design) team who are flexible and willing to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment for a diverse range of clients and projects.

  • Guildford, Basingstoke, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Leeds

Your role and the team

As a Graduate in Planning and Development (Civils Design), you will work on exciting and innovative projects across defence, energy, residential, and logistics & distribution, with genuine opportunities for career progression.

Projects

You will help deliver projects such as:

  • Omega Development Warrington – Largest mixed-use development in the North-West
  • Monklands Hospital
  • Eden Project
  • York Central

Day-to-day activities

  • Master planning, concept and detailed civil engineering designs including: Highway design, Earthworks design, Surface water drainage design and Foul water drainage design
  • Utility services coordination
  • Completing design calculations and drawing outputs
  • Production of engineering reports and specifications
  • Attending design team meetings

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate

  • Candidates must complete the application form in full answering all questions. This is mandatory for all candidates, including those from diverse backgrounds. You will then complete an online skill enabler assessment; both the application form and assessment are essential parts of the recruitment process.
  • You’re likely to start work in April or September 2026.
  • You’ll have a passion for engineering and consulting.
  • You’ll have a desire for the built environment, infrastructure, places and the economy.
  • You’ll show creativity and a drive to solve problems.
  • You’ll want to inspire us by sharing new ideas.
