Overview

We are seeking graduates for our Civil teams who are adaptable and eager to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory consultancy. You will enjoy a collaborative work environment, applying your skills to a variety of clients and projects. We are recruiting for Graduates in the following services and locations:

  • Civil - Bridge Engineering: London, Bristol, Cardiff, Wrexham, Exeter, Truro, Birmingham, Manchester, Carlisle, Newcastle, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth (Perthshire), and Belfast.
  • Civil - Aviation – Airport Planning & Advisory: London
  • Civil - Aviation – Airfield Engineering: London
  • Civil - Pavement Engineering: Derby, Reading or London

Graduates will benefit from mentorship from experienced engineers and a robust pipeline of work, building a solid foundation for a successful engineering career within a global industry.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge Engineering: support structural inspection, assessment, design, strengthening, repair, asset management, and project management; gain exposure to small and large works; day-to-day activities include bridge inspections with specialist access, site visits organisation, asset management, design calculations, contractor supervision, and tendering.
  • Aviation – Airport Planning & Advisory: delivery of airport planning and advisory services, master planning, demand forecasting, capacity analysis, airside/terminal modelling, sustainability advice; contribute to bids and proposals; develop understanding of emerging markets such as sustainable aviation fuels and AAM/eVTOLs.
  • Aviation – Airfield Engineering: assist with airfield infrastructure design; work on UK and international airports with Senior Engineers; exposure to 3D modelling and new aviation technologies; day-to-day activities include supporting design, producing technical reports, geometric and grading design of runways/taxiways/aprons, design coordination, Civil 3D design, and visits to airfields.
  • Maritime Engineering: planning, design, and construction of port facilities and coastal infrastructure; support across diverse projects including energy transition port repurposing; day-to-day activities include inspection, design and rehabilitation of ports, site visits, preparation of deliverables, calculations, research, and document control.
  • Pavement Engineering: pavement assessment, design and asset management for aviation, maritime, streetscapes, and highways; day-to-day activities include pavement inspections, design to National Highways standards, repairs design, and report writing.

Graduate Development Programme

Two-year development programme with core business and professional skills training, mentoring for professional registration, networking opportunities, and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status with ICE and IStructE; you will be supported through training agreements.

What Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate

  • Graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Completed the application form in full and passed an online skill enabler assessment; both are essential parts of the recruitment process.
  • You’ll be looking to start work in April or September 2026.
  • You’ll have a passion for engineering and an enthusiasm for the built environment, infrastructure, and economy; a drive to solve problems and share new ideas.
