Overview

Accounting, Insight and Advisory Manager role at ACCA Careers with RSM UK. We are a fast-growing firm delivering six core advisory solutions and supporting private businesses in the Southern region. This is a role focused on leading the reporting of annual financial statements, managing a portfolio of SME clients, and delivering high-quality advisory services while developing client relationships and team capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the reporting of annual financial statements and act as the controller for a portfolio of SME corporate clients, focusing on annual compliance needs and UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 105).
  • Own client relationships, develop skills in business development, coaching, and cross-service collaboration across the UK.
  • Deliver a premium service and high-quality outcomes to SME clients; manage job profitability and delivery within agreed budgets.
  • Take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, overseeing project timelines, billing, and client care.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships and act as a primary point of contact; work with clients to deliver practical solutions.
  • Lead assignments and ensure smooth execution; train and mentor junior team members with opportunities to line-manage.
  • Collaborate with audit and tax teams to meet deadlines and resolve key issues; expand knowledge of specialist services and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Stay up to date with technical developments and meet training requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years experience post-qualification.
  • UK GAAP experience – FRS 102 and FRS 105.
  • Experience of working in a professional practice, ideally in an equivalent accounting advisory team.
  • A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
