Overview

Accounting, Insight and Advisory Manager role at ACCA Careers. Locations include Stoke, Preston, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Lerwick, Leeds, Hull, Grangemouth, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Chester, Aberdeen. This is a position within the Accounting, Insight and Advisory (AIA) team in the national Finance Function Support solution. You will manage a portfolio of private, SME businesses within the Northern region, focusing on building client relationships and delivering a premium year-end service, while maintaining regular communication with clients throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Accounting, Insight and Advisory (AIA) team
  • Manage a portfolio of clients primarily reporting under FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Responsible for budgeting, WIP management and billing for the client portfolio
  • Develop and coach team members through training and mentoring to enhance their skills and professional growth
  • Review the work of Assistants and Supervisors and contribute to their development
  • Support business development opportunities and expand internal networks across the UK

What We Are Looking For

  • Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA
  • Strong technical skills, including FRS 102 and FRS 105 experience
  • Experience in a professional practice, ideally in an accounting advisory team
  • Experience managing and overseeing a team within financial services, including training, coaching, and performance management
  • Working knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and/or other cloud accounting packages
  • Knowledge of CCH or similar professional accounts preparation packages
