The range of work is vast and there’ll be opportunities for you to gain new experiences and put your skills to the test.This role is part of the Risk Settlement team, a group of over 25 colleagues offering full insurance de-risking services for Trustees and Sponsors of Defined Benefit pension schemes and services to insurers. Building on our current successes, we anticipate significant growth in this sector in the coming years.What’s the role?We’re looking for experienced consultants, either part or fully qualified actuaries with relevant risk settlement experience, to help continue to grow this specialist team. We seek individuals with excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset.Day to day, you will be:Supporting in the delivery of advice to clients – this may include managing key client projects directly and/or supporting our partners and directors to deliver to our clients.Working with and building relationships with clients, working as part of a team and developing those around you.Assisting in the development of new business, with existing and new clients.Technical aspects of this role include:Understanding the pensions insurance industry and building relationships with insurers.Helping develop a client’s strategy to approach the insurance market.Preparing a scheme to approach insurers.Providing client advice on the right transaction to meet their objectives.Supporting clients in post-transaction processes through to wind-up.As you progress, there will be opportunities to develop your technical expertise and consulting skills to lead the delivery of broking projects for our clients.There will be a wide range of opportunities to get involved in different areas of de-risking consulting and access to a wide range of clients in the Insurance Team, working alongside other specialist teams to achieve the best outcomes.Where is the role?The Risk Settlement team is based across many UK offices, with locations including Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Reading. We operate on a hybrid basis, offering the option to split time between the office and home.We build strong communities across locations and teams, hosting regular team-building, charity and social events.Key skills and experienceWe’re looking for new colleagues with the following skills and expertise.
