An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Administrative Officer to join our busy, friendly team, supporting Children and Young People’s Services.

1 x 18.5 Permanent
1 x 18.5 Temporary until March 2026

One person could carry out both posts making it a full time position until March 2026.

This is a crucial role within the team providing an efficient administration function.


WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You will provide comprehensive, robust administrative support to strategic panels, legal clinics, and legal planning meetings for a number of different teams.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

You will need 4 GCSEs (A-C grades including English Language or Literature), or GNVQ Intermediate in Business) or NVQ 2 Business (or equivalent) the successful candidate will have experience of carrying out an administrative role in a busy office environment, including minute taking skills.

HYBRID WORKING (if applicable)

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
