Overview

Field sales position selling the supply and installation of a distributed range of shelving, racking, mezzanine and storage solutions such as retail & shop fitting, storage bins & boxes, warehouse storage, tool storage, van storage and work benches. Located in the North West.

Responsibilities

• Sell directly into end users, historically 75‑80% builders merchants, and expand into warehousing, 3PL, grocery retail, high street retail, etc.
• Grow turnover from £700,000 to £1m+.
• Spend 40% of time bringing in new customers from new sectors.
• Typical schedule 3 days a week on the road, 2 days working from home.
• Handle projects from £1,500 up to £250,000, average £40,000‑£50,000.
• Utilise existing customer names while developing new accounts.
• Deal with contractual procedures and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Field sales experience in shelving, racking, mezzanine or storage solutions.
• Experience selling into builders merchants desirable.
• Forklift sales or other warehousing field sales experience considered.
• High energy level and desire for growth.
• Strong negotiation experience.
