Audit Manager / Senior Manager | Loughton, Essex | £65 - £75K

Are you an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a strong people leader with proven portfolio management skills to join a progressive, full-service accountancy practice with a 70+ year history and a reputation for delivering quality across diverse sectors.

The Opportunity

As Audit Manager, you’ll oversee a varied client portfolio (c.80–90% audit), from academies to property groups, including large, well-known businesses. You’ll lead and inspire a team, support Partners, and play a key role in business development and firm growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a portfolio of audit and accountancy assignments
• Supporting Partners and attending client meetings
• Planning, managing, and handing completed files to Partners
• Driving business development and contributing to pitches
• Liaising with clients, finance teams, and other internal departments
• Overseeing WIP, billing, and departmental responsibilities
• Playing a central role in team building and trainee mentoring

What We’re Looking For

• Solid audit experience across mixed sectors
• Strong leadership and staff management skills
• IT literate – Sage/Xero; CaseWare a bonus
• Must have own car and full, clean driving licence
