Overview

The Sales & Business Development Manager (EU) is responsible for driving growth of KVP’s veterinary product portfolio across Europe. This role focuses on building and nurturing distributor, clinic, and corporate group relationships, executing sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities. The position requires a motivated self-starter with proven sales success, strong business development instincts, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This position collaborates closely with the VP of Sales & Business Development to execute go-to-market strategies, drive revenue, and build a scalable, high-performance sales organization.

Key Duties & responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across KVP’s brands.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the veterinary market, with a focus on distributors, corporate groups, and independent practices.
  • Provide insights into market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Represent KVP at European trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events, building a strong presence in collaboration with marketing.

Client & Partner Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in veterinary clinics, distributors, and wholesalers.
  • Foster trust with clients, ensuring consistent communication and responsiveness.
  • Develop long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships that support sustainable revenue growth.

Data & Analysis

  • Leverage ERP (NetSuite preferred) and CRM systems to manage pipeline, forecast revenue, and track performance.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, key takeaways, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to management based on data-driven insights.
  • Work closely with the National Sales Director and cross-functional teams to align business development initiatives with global objectives.
  • Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and operations to support customer needs.
  • Deliver clear and concise reporting on sales performance, account activity, and market dynamics.
  • Willingness to assume other responsibilities as circumstances dictate.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Veterinary/Animal Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in the veterinary field.
  • Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), CRM platforms, and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; personable, respectful, and able to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective communication in person and digitally, with strong visual and auditory capacity to interact with clients and analyze data.
  • Sharp sales instincts with initiative to identify and pursue business opportunities.
  • Ability to create and analyze complex data, recognize key insights, and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Must hold and maintain valid travel documents (passports, visas, etc.) required for international travel; the company does not cover the cost of obtaining or renewing travel documentation.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK or EU.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • The employee must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The position primarily involves working in an office/home-office environment with extended periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and reviewing documents.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and using a computer and other office equipment; occasional walking, standing, bending, or reaching to retrieve documents or supplies; frequent standing, walking, and travel-related physical activity; ability to lift and carry office materials, product samples, or marketing collateral weighing up to 25 lbs; good vision and hearing to communicate and analyze data effectively.
  • Working Conditions: Climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or environmental hazards; regular travel to attend trade shows, distributor meetings, or customer site visits; extended hours or weekend hours during critical project deadlines, product launches, or trade shows; use of standard office equipment.
