About the Role:

Are you passionate about turning raw data into actionable insights that shape strategic decisions? We’re looking for two talented BI Developers to join our Technology Team at East of England Co-op.

In this role, you’ll design and deliver scalable, visually compelling business intelligence solutions that help colleagues at every level make data-driven decisions. You’ll work with a range of modern BI tools, enabling self-service analytics and supporting the use of advanced methods such as AI and machine learning.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work with stakeholders across the business to capture reporting needs and deliver fit-for-purpose BI solutions.
  • Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Pyramid Analytics and Power BI.
  • Use SQL and Python to access, prepare and model data, building optimised BI data models.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and subject matter experts to ensure data is structured, accurate, and accessible.
  • Conduct testing to ensure reporting accuracy and automate delivery where appropriate.
  • Present insights and analysis to business leaders, including the Senior Management Team.
  • Support and upskill colleagues in self-service BI tools to enable greater data exploration.
  • Contribute to early-stage AI and advanced analytics projects.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer, with expertise in tools such as Pyramid Analytics or Power BI.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into BI solutions.
  • Ability to design mobile-responsive dashboards and promote self-service reporting.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.

Desirable: Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure), exposure to Python/R, understanding of GDPR, and experience with CI/CD in BI environments.
