Role Profile – Business Support Manager to CEO UK & Ireland
Reports To: CEO of UK & Ireland
Location: Bristol – hybrid role, expected to be in the office minimum 2 days per week
Term: This is a fixed-term cover likely to run until April 2026. Part-time working considered with a minimum of 25 hours per week; daily support required.
Start date: Mid-August, allowing a 4-6 week handover with the current postholder.

About
This dual role combines skills of a Business Support Manager and a PA. You will oversee administrative and operational support services, ensure efficient office operations, support senior leadership with project and performance tracking, and contribute to process improvements.
You will provide high-level personal support to the CEO, acting as a gatekeeper, problem-solver, and coordinator, handling confidential tasks with discretion and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative functions ensuring seamless support.
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, support project delivery through planning, reporting, and stakeholder liaison.
- Provide high-level support to senior management, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
- Communicate with vendors, service providers, and external stakeholders.
- Diary & Calendar Management: Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring the CEO is prepared.
- Travel Coordination: Arrange domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, transport, and itineraries.
- Communication Management: Handle correspondence, filter inquiries.
- Meeting Support: Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, follow up on action items—proven experience essential.
- Documentation & Filing: Maintain and organise files, records, and confidential documents securely.
- Event Planning: Support or lead event planning and execution.
Person Specification
Proactive, anticipates needs, and stays several steps ahead in a fast-paced environment. Calm, resourceful decision-making under pressure, and strong relationship-building skills are essential. A solution-focused mindset to streamline processes and solve problems is crucial.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in business support, operations, or administrative management.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, with ability to work with house style.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Nice-to-have skills include PowerPoint proficiency and familiarity with Weston-super-Mare, England.
Work experience in administrative and general management roles. Fluency in English.
