Overview

A confident, motivated and enthusiastic person is required to supervise and co-ordinate the work of a number of business support staff based in the middle/south of the County. You will be one of a team of seven Business Support Officers managing the Business Support Service who work with staff in the Adult Social Care and Health Department.

Nottinghamshire County Council offers hybrid working and there is the expectation that the postholder will be required to go into the office on a regular basis. You will be required to travel on occasions to various locations across the county to attend meetings/undertake your duties.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, deployment and day-to-day management of staff, including target setting and quality assurance of outputs.
  • Overseeing administrative processes, health and safety, and the general operation of the office.
  • Manage budgets and contribute to planning and delivery of business support services.
  • Provide positive problem solving and conflict resolution as part of a supervisory role.
  • Respond well to pressure, meet deadlines and adhere to and implement policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least 2 years admin/clerical experience, preferably in a supervisory and staff development role.
  • Advanced ICT skills with the ability to analyse, streamline and transform processes and work methods.
  • Leadership ability, change management skills and contribution to planning and delivery of business support.
  • Ability to travel across the county to attend meetings/undertake duties.
