Overview

Category Manager – Essity, Manchester, hybrid working 3 days onsite, 2 days offsite. Based in Didsbury, Manchester. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to drive category growth and execute the category strategy across major UK retailers.

What You Will Do

• Build strong, collaborative relationships with customers and deploy the category vision to identify growth opportunities.
• Deliver range reviews with customers and provide customer data-driven insights to steer new product development and positioning.
• Identify clear, achievable opportunities and become the shopper expert, integrating shopper metrics into recommendations aligned to the customer’s category strategy.
• Provide monthly, insights-driven reports tracking market, brands, channel and retailer performance, and offer actionable recommendations for corrective action or optimization against targets.

Who You Are

• Strong understanding of the retail market with experience in managing insight and category management in an FMCG environment.
• Customer-focused with a track record of working collaboratively, using data analysis to drive results.
• Experience with IRI, Nielsen or Kantar databases is key. Experience with Dunnhumby & SIP is a bonus but not essential. Ability to develop and deploy category strategies.
