Client Director

Join AXA Global Healthcare as a Client Director and shape our future growth. You'll proactively manage, retain and develop a portfolio of global corporate clients, focusing on healthcare schemes and profitable expansion. With responsibility for a portfolio valued between £10 million and £25 million API (annual percentage increase), you'll work with 10 to 30 high‑profile clients, contributing to the success of our business and strengthening our partnerships worldwide. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at our Tunbridge Wells office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong business-to-business relationships to achieve retention targets.
- Negotiate renewals, which benefit clients, AXA Global Healthcare and our insurance partners.
- Build and implement annual and long‑term strategic account plans to maximise retention and promote additional products and services.
- Gain a thorough understanding of each client's organisation, proactively identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Share ongoing feedback from clients, intermediaries and the market to contribute to the ongoing development of our propositions and services.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of AXA Global Healthcare's products, services and competitors, staying informed on industry trends and legislative changes to advise clients proactively.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory compliance requirements.
- Build relationships across AXA to drive consistent, collaborative efforts that support client retention and growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management and development within a consultative, service-oriented sales environment, preferably within large, global corporate businesses.
- Strong commercial and strategic awareness, with a good understanding of the corporate business landscape.
- Working knowledge of a broad range of health insurance products is preferred.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain a network of contacts both internally and externally, including clients, intermediaries, professional bodies and healthcare professionals.
- Outstanding relationship management and networking skills.
- Influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand client needs and tailor advice and solutions accordingly, demonstrating professionalism and insight.
