Aurora is a dynamic early stage/startup Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) backed by private equity. We regulate electricity connections for new build assets including EV charging infrastructure, data centres, battery storage facilities, commercial & industrial premises and residential developments. The Commercial team is growing, and we are seeking a talented Commercial Assistant to join and contribute to the continued success of the business.

The position reports into the Commercial Manager with the potential for the role to develop significantly as the Company evolves.

Position Details

Location: City of London, hybrid work option (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Administration: Processing MPAN requests in accordance with asset values and assigned LLFCs; performing commercial checks on asset value claims; liaising with the finance team for asset value POs and invoice payments.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the commercial team.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients to ensure all necessary information is received to complete key tasks.
  • Business Development: Maintain relationships and provide excellent customer service to external stakeholders.
  • Data Collection & Management: Update asset quotes and status details within internal systems; maintain project trackers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (operations, regulation, finance) and serve as a point of contact for clients AV claims.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • Research and Innovation: Provide recommendations for innovation and competitive differentiation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Experience working within the ICP environment.
