Overview

We’re on the lookout for a Data Analyst to join our Central Operations Support team at Stagecoach. In this role, you’ll help unlock valuable performance insights that shape how we operate across the UK, from engineering and customer experience to strategy and innovation.

You’ll be working across our Central Functions and Operating Companies to turn complex datasets into meaningful dashboards and visual stories. Your analysis will help inform key decisions, improve operational performance, and contribute to the achievement of our strategic goals. If you’re naturally curious, love solving problems with data, and enjoy telling compelling stories through visualisation, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering high-quality, timely performance analysis across the business
• Building clear and impactful dashboards using tools like Tableau
• Understanding stakeholder needs and translating them into actionable insights
• Sourcing and cleaning data from our central data warehouse and other internal systems
• Identifying and correcting data quality issues in collaboration with our data engineering team
• Presenting insights to a range of audiences, from data-savvy stakeholders to senior leaders
• Documenting your work clearly for internal use within the analytics team
• Collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and key business partners

What we’re looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject OR demonstrable experience in a data-related role
• Strong skills in Tableau or similar data visualisation tools
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for querying and analysis
• Experience using statistical techniques such as regression modelling and forecasting
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical content for non-technical audiences
• A problem-solving mindset and a passion for data-driven decision making
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure or product/software development (desirable)
