Overview
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are recruiting for a Database and Office Administrator to join the Schools on a permanent, part-time basis. The position is available for an immediate start (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, across a four-day pattern with a pro-rated salary of £15,531. The pro-rated annual holiday leave entitlement is 16.5 days, plus 10 days statutory holiday at Christmas and Easter, when the schools are closed. This is a hybrid working position, with a minimum of two days required to work in the office.
Responsibilities
- Support the engagement of the ESMS wider community (parents, alumni, staff and friends) and keep them connected to the family of Schools as they are today.
- Manage a series of database projects to maintain and standardise data and implement new features to improve efficiencies and data availability within the database for queries.
- Perform other administrative responsibilities including merchandise management, diary management, event administration and support to the team and Director of Development as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience of providing database administration and administrative support in a busy office environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload with good attention to detail.
- Experience in a Development Office or similar busy environment handling inquiries from former pupils, staff and parents, current staff, parents and members of the public.
Eligibility
ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
