OverviewWe’re working with a specialist building envelope contractor seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design function across multiple projects. This role offers a blend of technical leadership, client engagement, and hands-on design coordination, working on some of the UK’s most exciting façade, cladding, and roofing schemes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the design function for multiple projects, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards.Oversee the preparation and coordination of design drawings, details, and specifications for façade, cladding, and roofing systems.Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, main contractors, and suppliers to resolve design queries and technical challenges.Ensure all designs meet Building Regulations, fire, thermal, and acoustic performance requirements.Manage the full design approval process — from concept and tender through to construction and as-built stages.Review and approve subcontractor and supplier drawings to ensure coordination with the project brief.Lead design risk assessments and contribute to value engineering exercises.Stay up to date with materials, systems, and industry best practices.Support pre-construction teams with technical input during bids and tenders.Mentor and develop junior design staff, promoting technical excellence across the team.Key RequirementsProven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Designer within the façade, cladding, or roofing sector.Strong understanding of building envelope design, performance, and interface detailing.Proficient in AutoCAD and ideally Revit.Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations, CWCT Standards, NHBC requirements, and fire safety guidance (BS 8414, BR 135).Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.What’s on OfferSalary up to £75,000 + packageHybrid working with flexibility around office and project needsThe opportunity to lead innovative, design-led projects with a forward-thinking contractorLocation: High Wycombe, England, United Kingdom (hybrid).📩 Apply now or get in touch for a confidential chat about this exciting opportunity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
