Ecommerce Lead

As our Ecommerce Lead, you will accelerate Rexel UK's online growth and elevate our digital experience. You will lead day-to-day ecommerce operations with a focus on driving revenue, improving conversion rates, and enhancing customer acquisition and retention. Partnering closely with digital trading, merchandising, marketing, and IT teams, you will optimise the customer journey and deliver measurable sales growth through data-driven insights and innovative strategies.

This brand new role will focus on some of the following key areas:
·Lead day-to-day ecommerce operations with a focus on driving revenue and improving conversion, customer acquisition and retention.
·Develop and lead the digital promotional trading calendar across key seasons and launches.
·Work with our in-house digital merchandising and search experts to help optimise and implement strategies, also working closely with agencies to maximise ROI.
·Collaborate closely with Product, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, IT, and external tech partners
·Analyse website and customer data to inform decisions, spot trends, and seize new opportunities.
·Optimise the user experience through performance analysis, A/B testing, and CRO initiatives
·Collaborating with marketing teams to develop and execute online marketing campaigns, including SEO, social media, website content and email marketing.
·Stay ahead of ecommerce trends, new technologies, and consumer behaviour shifts.

- Proven experience managing B2B and/or D2C ecommerce trading platforms
- Strong technical acumen with expertise in cloud-based CMS platforms, marketing tools, and hands-on CMS management
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in GA4, Looker Studio, and BI platforms
- Expertise in website optimisation, SEO, UX, email marketing, and CRO initiatives
- Ability to analyse website and customer data to inform decisions and identify new opportunities
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing external partners effectively
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
