Overview

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a local authority based in the South East who are seeking to hire an Education/SEN lawyer on a rolling contract for 4 months to start ASAP.

The position would require someone to attend court hearings, on average fortnightly, although the rest of the post can be conducted remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Attend court hearings, on average fortnightly; the rest of the post can be conducted remotely.
  • Prosecute school non-attendance, SEN fraud, and other basic criminal prosecutions in addition to their education/SEN caseload.

Qualifications

  • Have at least 3 years PQE.
  • Have previous experience with SEN appeals, exclusions, tribunals.
  • Be able to hold a diverse caseload also inclusive of s4441s and JRs.
  • Ideally have prior experience prosecuting blue badge and fly tipping offences.
  • Be comfortable working autonomously in a small team.
  • Prior local authority experience, while not essential, would be preferable.
