Overview
Engineering Manager (Platform) – Hybrid (Hertfordshire, 2 days/week) – up to £130k base + bonus. An established iGaming provider is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their data platform team as they scale following significant investment. As part of an exciting rebrand with a new state-of-the-art office, you’ll contribute to the company’s growth and long-term success.
This role offers a clear progression path to Head of Engineering and Director level, with the business confident that the right individual could achieve this within 12 months. While this is primarily a leadership role, a strong technical background is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the data platform team, setting engineering practices and standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the organization’s long-term engineering vision.
- Guide delivery and technical decision-making, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Act as a hands-on leader when necessary, applying your technical expertise to drive outcomes.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Proven success leading multiple teams and driving high performance
- Strong background in data platforms and data metrics
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure management
Technical background
The current tech stack includes TypeScript, React, React Native, Java, Kotlin, and AWS. The company welcomes candidates with a broad range of technical experience.
