GSL Education are currently seeking passionate English Teachers to join schools across Southend-on-Sea. Whether you're looking for flexible daily supply work or a consistent long-term role, we have opportunities tailored to you.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both Qualified Teachers (QTS) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to bring creativity and clarity to the classroom, helping students develop critical reading, writing, and communication skills in Key Stages 3 to 5.
Teacher of English Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students through engaging teaching of literature, language, and writing.
- Differentiate instruction to support students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a supportive and focused classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote literacy and academic success.
Teacher of English Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or started working as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
- Specialism in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to student achievement and inclusive education.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
